The award ceremony was held at Hard Rock International in Davos on Jan 19, 2023.

Helen Clark, the esteemed former Prime Minister of New Zealand, earned the prestigious title of World Woman Hero honoree in recognition of her remarkable leadership that has played a pivotal role in guiding her nation. Her tenure as Prime Minister was marked by a steadfast commitment to social progress, environmental sustainability, and global diplomacy, making her a prominent figure in the international political arena. The World Woman Honoree in the category of media and corporate leadership included Ghada Owais, Lebanese broadcast journalist Al-Jazeera; Federica Marchionni, CEO of Global Fashion Agenda; Nicola Mendelsohn, VP of Global Business Group, Meta and Geralyn Ritter EVP, External Affairs & ESG, Organon.

Global leaders from 30+ countries and 450 delegates attended the conference and World Woman Hero Awards during the World Economic Forum Week in the heart of Davos to launch a bold new gender equality agenda for women and girls.
